Details:The background of this painting is my homeland, Lennox Head. The Headland is well known as a great surfing spot. I wanted to instil a sense of the preciousness of the ocean and painted a shell that I found on the beach one day. I used a lovely old silk kimono draped over a chair and borrowed the old box to suggest a special container. The shell symbolises the preciousness of the environment.
