Artist's Statement
Perhaps a deeper realisation of the transient existence on earth of all living creatures was heightened by the terrible aftermath of the Tsunami. Searching for meaning and being able to continue to create art of personal intrinsic value is something I feel grateful for.
Everyday offers new challenges and becomes an embodiment of moments which make up twenty four hours. Existence is fleeting in the grandness of evolution yet a moment, an hour or a short passage of time can also mean a decision or action that can alter the course of history.
Time can be therefore portrayed as a moment or a metaphoric poem. Images are deeply contemplated and image making has become a reflection of my own life.
